What we do: Local removals across NI, long-distance moves across Ireland, cross-channel removals between NI and England/Scotland/Wales; short & long-term storage.​

2. Basis of contract & quotations
2.1 Our written quotation (including any inventory/schedule) is an offer based on information you gave us (addresses, access, volume/weight, special items, dates, parking, restrictions). It’s valid for [30] days and excludes duties/tolls/ferries unless stated.
2.2 We may revise the price if: the job differs from info provided; key/transport delays beyond 60 mins per vehicle; extra flights/stairs/long carries; parking/waiting charges; narrow or restricted access; additional packing; dismantling/reassembly not quoted; changes to move date; Goods not ready; adverse weather; force majeure.
2.3 Subcontracting: we may use vetted subcontractors. Your contract remains with us.
2.4 Working days are Mon–Fri, excluding public holidays.
3. Your responsibilities
3.1 Obtain permissions, parking suspensions/permits, and pay related charges/fines.
3.2 Be present (or appoint a representative) at collection/delivery to sign documents and check properties for damage.
3.3 Prepare appliances; defrost/empty fridges/freezers; disconnect/reconnect appliances (unless we agreed to do so).
3.4 Declare restricted/prohibited items (see clause 7).
3.5 Ensure Goods are adequately insured where you choose not to purchase our Standard Liability (clause 10.1) or extended cover.
4. Our services
4.1 Packing/unpacking, dismantling/reassembly, and materials are provided only if stated.
4.2 Parking/waiting: beyond [60] mins per vehicle per address, waiting is chargeable at [£45]/hr/vehicle.
4.3 Keys/late access: if we cannot start due to keys/completion delays or property not ready, waiting charges apply as 4.2.
4.4 Inventory/condition notes: we may prepare a schedule; you can request to countersign.
5. Excluded services unless agreed in writing
5.1 Disconnection/reconnection of gas/plumbing/electrical fixtures; removal of fixtures; lifting floors/doors; structural works; removal via balconies/hoists; external elevators.
5.2 Packing/unpacking of fragile items unless we provided a packing service.
5.3 Special handling (safes > [80] kg; pianos; fine art; antiques; vehicles) unless quoted.
6. Postponement & cancellation (domestic moves)
If you postpone/cancel, charges reflect our reasonable costs based on notice given (working days):

>10 working days: no charge

5–10 working days: up to 30% of the move charge

<5 working days: up to 60%

Within 24 hours: up to 75%

On the day/after work starts: up to 100%
You may purchase a cancellation/postponement waiver if we offer one (optional).
7. Dangerous, prohibited or excluded Goods
7.1 No flammables, explosives, gases, fuels, paints, aerosols, firearms, live plants/animals, illegal goods, perishable or contaminated items.
7.2 We are not liable for loss/damage to valuables (jewellery, cash, collections, deeds, stamps, furs, watches, precious metals/stones) unless declared and we agree in writing.
7.3 Empty fuel from mowers/tools; cap oil lines; drain appliances.
8. Customer-packed boxes (PBO)
8.1 Where you pack, we aren’t responsible for concealed damage to contents unless external damage to the carton is noted at delivery; missing contents from sealed PBO cartons are excluded. Maximum for loss of an owner packed container may be limited (e.g., £100) unless we packed it.
9. Payment
9.1 Domestic: full payment no later than [x days] before move or as invoiced, typically on completion; storage is monthly in advance by DD/card.
9.2 Commercial: credit terms only if agreed in writing; otherwise cleared funds before work.
9.3 We may charge interest at [8%] p.a. over BoE base rate on overdue sums and use a lien (clause 13) over Goods for unpaid charges.
10. Liability & limits
10.1 Standard Liability (if purchased/selected): we accept liability up to the declared value of Goods (or agreed limit) subject to exclusions/deductibles stated in our quotation.
10.2 Limited Liability (default if Standard not selected): for loss or damage caused by our negligence or breach of contract, liability is capped at £40 per item (carton or object). The amount we accept under this clause is reflected in our charges. Higher limits can be agreed for an additional price before work starts.
10.3 Premises damage: we’ll pay reasonable repair costs to floors/walls/doors we damage through negligence; wear/weakness/latent defects excluded.
10.4 Time limits for claims: note loss/damage at delivery where possible and notify us in writing within 7 days of delivery (or of discovery for storage).
10.5 We are not liable for: normal wear/tear; atmospheric/temperature/humidity effects where no inventory noted; owner-packed fragile items; electrical/mechanical derangement with no external damage; force majeure; or Goods confiscated by authorities.
10.6 Consumer rights remain: Nothing limits rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including services to be performed with reasonable care and skill and remedies for breach.
11. Cancellation rights (distance/off-premises contracts)
If you booked at a distance/off-premises, you may cancel within 14 days of contract. If you asked us to start during the 14-day period, you’ll pay for work done up to cancellation; once fully performed, the right to cancel is lost. We provide the required pre-contract information and a model cancellation form on request.
12. Route & method
We may choose routes/vehicles/stacking methods and may transfer Goods to storage or another vehicle to complete efficiently.
13. Storage terms (if applicable)
13.1 Charges & revisions: storage charged monthly in advance; price reviews with 3 months’ notice.
13.2 Access: by appointment during business hours; handling/attendance fees may apply.
13.3 Lien & sale: we have a warehouseman’s lien—we may retain Goods until all sums are paid. If sums remain unpaid, we may sell/dispose of Goods after giving statutory Notice of Intention to Sell under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 (or contractual sale rights), applying proceeds to charges/costs and accounting any balance to you. Perishables may be disposed of sooner.
13.4 Risk: you remain responsible to insure Goods in store unless Standard Liability/insurance has been arranged.
14. International moves
Customs/port/agent delays are outside our control; we are not liable for seizure/confiscation by authorities. Marine/transit insurance is your responsibility unless we arrange cover.
15. Complaints & ADR
Please raise issues promptly with our office; we’ll try to resolve within [7] days.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales; courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
17. Unfair terms
We aim to draft fair, transparent terms. If any term is found unfair/unenforceable, the rest still apply (Consumer Rights Act 2015).
